Best Places to Go Shopping in Miami

From luxe design districts to open-air strolls and outlet deals

Miami’s shopping scene is ample—not confined to malls or ports, but woven into neighborhoods and architectural spaces. Whether you’re into browsing open-air boutiques, designer stores, or bargain outlets, this list captures spots that I regularly revisit or recommend based on my own time in the city. Here’s where to go.

Miami Design District

Located just north of Midtown, The Miami Design District is a neighborhood and shopping destination where architecture firms, luxury brands, and art galleries share the same streets. Think Hermes, Gucci, plus galleries and creative installations on every corner.

Bal Harbour Shops

Bal Harbour Shops

Bal Harbour Shops was designed to contrast conventional indoor malls by combining upscale retail with open-air gardens and shaded walkways. Home to Chanel, Fendi, and the long-running Balenciaga—now marking its 60th anniversary with new immersive designs.

Aventura Mall

Aventura Mall is enormous—over 300 stores across nearly 3 million sq ft, including luxury labels and an art-forward “Arts Aventura Mall” experience. It is one of the largest enclosed shopping centers in the U.S.—currently the largest in Florida and fifth nationwide by retail area, home to almost any brand you can think off.

Dolphin Mall

Dolphin Mall

Covering around 1.4 million square feet, Dolphin Mall is a value-focused outlet center in Sweetwater offering deals on popular brands, plus non-shopping entertainment like a cinema and arcade.

Brickell City Centre

Brickell City Centre is a modern urban mall in downtown Brickell, anchored by a massive Saks Fifth Avenue, plus shops, restaurants, cinema, and even mini golf (which I love and would personally recommend)

Lincoln Road

Lincoln Road Mall

Lincoln Road is one of Miami Beach’s most famouse pedestrian promenades with over 200 stores, cafés, galleries, and casual eateries—that’s just meandering and shopping at its most laid-back.

Bayside Marketplace

Bayside Marketplace is a waterfront complex in Downtown with shopping, cafés, and an easy launch point for boat tours—a good balance of retail and scenery. It serves both city residents and visitors looking for retail variety and activity along the water.

Cocowalk coral gables

CocoWalk

Cocowalk is an open-air village with shops, boutiques, and cafés in a leafy neighborhood setting. It carries local character more than tourist gloss.

Miracle Mile

A half-mile stretch lined with shops, galleries, and restaurants—more low-key and mature compared to Miami Beach retail strips

Miracle Mile

Little River

Little River

Not a mall, but an artsy, warehouse-turned-boutique neighborhood with independent shops and unique finds—especially worth a drive if you’re trying to skip tourist spots.
