The Pound Sterling is the official currency of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland , Euros might be accepted in some places, but is not common. 1 USD equals 0.80 pounds. England is a very safe country. If you go to big cities like London, the crime rate goes up. Watch out for pickpockets and hustlers in crowded areas.
