Space Pod Singapore
I usually do a mix of hotels and hostels when I’m traveling, depending on my budget and where I’m going. When I went to Singapore, I saw a pretty interesting hostel and decided to give it a try.
Coming from India, I was extremely tired and wanted some peace and quiet. To my surprise, that’s what I got. the pods were incredible!
Met a Space Pod is a modern and cool version of a hostel. You do share a room, but each pod has it independent door, so it doesn’t feel like it. They come in different sizes, twin size (for 1 person, was the one I booked) and queen size in case you are traveling with your partner. I’m also a small person, so if you want extra comfort, just book a queen bed for yourself 🙂 You open your pod with your keycard (technology is an amazing thing) and then you can control everything from the inside: A variety of lights, colors of the lights, Air conditioning and fan, TV, and they have multitude of ports to charge multiple devices.
The bed was extremely comfortable, They provide you with sheets, a pillow and a towel. You also get your own locker, big enough to store a suitcase.
The hostel itself doesn’t have many amenities. Nice bathrooms, and a desk located in each floor. I didn’t need many amenities either way, as my time in Singapore was limited.
This is definitely one of a kind hostel. Super different and unique, it is definitely an experience and would definitely recommend for those who are in a budget and looking for something different yet nice!
