Phillip & Patricia Frost Museum of Science
A planetarium, aquarium, and hands-on exhibits in a modern waterfront setting.
Opened in 2017 in Museum Park, the Frost Museum of Science is a science center combining a planetarium, aquarium, and exhibit galleries across multiple interconnected buildings. The museum replaced the older Coconut Grove site and now anchors Miami’s cultural corridor, alongside neighboring institutions like PAMM.

Building & Location
Situated in Maurice A. Ferré Park, the 250,000 sq ft structure incorporates four linked buildings: the Aquarium, Planetarium, and North and West wings housing exhibits and classrooms. Designed by Grimshaw Architects, the layout promotes airflow and integrates indoor and outdoor spaces, and has LEED Gold certification for sustainability.
