Flamingo Campground

Flamingo Campground Florida

Flamingo Campground is a laid-back camping spot located at the southern tip of Everglades National Park in Florida. The campground is right by Florida Bay, so you get these awesome water views and some killer sunsets that you won’t want to miss.
One of the coolest things about Flamingo Campground is the variety of wildlife you can see. It’s not unusual to spot manatees and crocodiles, and if you’re lucky, you might even see some dolphins in the bay. Bird watchers will love it here, too—there are tons of wading birds, like herons and egrets.

Camping in Flamingo

Visitors can choose between traditional camping, RV parking or opt for a glamping experience in the eco-tents
The tent areas are nice and open, giving you a great view of the sky for stargazing. They have basic amenities like restrooms, showers, and picnic tables, so you’ve got the essentials covered. Plus, there’s a small store nearby where you can grab snacks, ice, and other necessities.

The eco-tents are a mix between a tent and a cabin, with a wooden platform, electricity, and some basic furniture like chairs and lamp. They would also have beds if you go during winter season. The tents are spacious, with enough room to move around, and the screened windows let you enjoy the breeze without worrying about bugs. They also have a nice little porch area where you can sit and take in the beautiful views of the bay or the surrounding mangroves and the bay. They are made from eco-friendly materials and are solar-powered, so they have minimal impact on the environment.

If you’re up for some adventure, there are plenty of outdoor activities to dive into. You can rent a kayak or canoe and explore the nearby waters, or go hiking on one of the trails around the park to see more of the Everglades’ unique landscape. Fishing is also popular here, so don’t forget to bring your gear.
