Haulover Beach

Haulover Beach Miami

Haulover Beach is a popular beach in Miami, Florida, known for its beautiful sandy shores and laid-back vibe. Located between Bal Harbour and Sunny Isles Beach, it’s part of Haulover Park, which is a big, area with picnic spots, a marina, tennis courts, and a golf course. What really sets Haulover Beach apart, though, is that it’s one of the few places in the U.S. with a legal clothing-optional section.

There’s a designated area where people can swim naked if they feel like it. The nudist area is located between cells 12 and 16, easily marked so visitors know where it begins and ends. If going au naturel isn’t your thing, don’t, Haulover Beach has a family-friendly area, with lifeguards on duty, making it a safe spot for everyone to enjoy the beach. It also has lots of amenities, like picnic tables, food trucks, and food stands, so you can grab a bite without having to leave the beach. Plus, there are some nice shaded spots with BBQ grills, perfect for a beachside cookout.

Haulover Beach was opened to the public in 1948 and has been a popular destination ever since, evolving to become a place of recreation and relaxation.

The water at Haulover Beach is usually pretty clear and great for swimming. It’s also a popular spot for surfing and kite flying, especially since the beach often gets some nice breezes. There’s even a dog-friendly section, so you can bring your furry friends along for some fun in the sand.

Every Tuesday, Haulover Park hosts a food truck event, where you can try a variety of street food and fly / rent a kite. It usually starts around 6 pm and ends around Midnight. The Beach is open all year round, from 8 am to sunset.
